Damian is a full-time structural engineer, as well as making models and exhibiting at shows in his spare time. He joined the curation team in October 2017 and contributed greatly to the planning, installation and running of the pop-up museum.
Little did I know that putting on a ‘one night only’ Ford Transit model display at a Café in Southampton in October 2017 would lead to my involvement in The TRANSITion Museum Exhibition, an involvement that I would not have missed for the world.
From the research and planning, to the on-site building and ultimately the Museum itself, I have enjoyed the time immensely and will always remember the lovely comments and memories from the visiting public; from three generations of the same family telling me of their work-lives on the site, albeit with three different companies to the gentleman telling me that he used to hop over the back fence to “nick the old empty churns for an extra penny pocket money.
